Abstract

Abstract Treatment of a variety of aliphatic or aromatic primary amines with an N- chlorosuccinimideactivated allylic setenide affords in modest to good yield the corresponding allylically rearranged secondary amines. Examples are reported which define the scope and limitations of this process.
