Abstract

Abstract Synthetic methods to prepare N-ω-hydroxyalkyl-nor-psuedopelletierine and granatanine-3-spiro-5'-hydantoin N-ω-hy droxyalkylbenzylic and diphenylacetic esters are analyzed. The Bucherer-Bergs synthesis used by us to obtain some other granatanine- spirohydantoins (2), originates the hydrolysis of the ester group.
