Abstract

We have recently reported3 the preparation of p-[bis (2-chloroethyl) amino] benzylidenemalono-nitrile (I) and several related compounds from the Knoevanagel reaction of p [N, N-bis (% chloroethyl)-amino] benzaldehyde (benzaldehyde nitrogen mustard)(11.
