Abstract
1-Phenylcyclopentylacetaldehyde (I) and 1-phenylcyclohexylacetaldehyde (11) have been prepared and characterized. The rearrangement percentages upon di-t-butyl peroxide- induced decarbonylation in the liquid phase under various conditions have been determined (Table V).
