Abstract

Abstract 2-Thiophenesulfonyl chloride, prepared by treating thiophene with chlorosulfonic acid, has been condensed with nucleophilic reagents: ammonia, cyclohexylamine, N- methylaniline and sodium azide to afford the sulfonamide. N-cyclohexyl sulfonamide. NN- methylphenyl sulfonamide and the sulfonyl azide respectively.
