Abstract
The dehydrocoupling of the sterically hindered phosphine-borane adduct t Bu2PH⊙ BH3 at 140-160° C is catalyzed by rhodium complexes to give the linear dimer t Bu2PH-BH2-t Bu2P- BH3. In the case of Cl-containing catalysts the chlorinated four-membered chain t Bu2PH- BH2-t Bu2P-BH2Cl was also formed.
