Abstract

Stabilized enolates attached to cationic (arene) RuIICp complexes via an amide linkage were found to participate in nucleophilic aromatic addition reactions resulting in the formation of novel cyclohexadienyl-Ru azaspirocycles. Enolate addition to the activated arene ring was found to proceed with complete stereoselectivity.
