Abstract
A novel transformation of 2, 1-benzisoxazoles (anthranils) involving nitrogen-oxygen bond rupture with concomitant nitrogen-carbon bond formation by reaction with aryl-, methyl-, or 2- thienylzinc chlorides in the presence of nickel catalyst is described.
