Abstract

The reaction of 4-hydrazino-8-(trifluoromethyl) quinoline (2) with ethoxymethylenecyanoacetate afforded ethyl 5-amino-1-[8-(trifluoromethyl) quinolin-4-yl]-1H- pyrazole-4-carboxylate (3) and that with ethoxymethylenemalononitrile afforded 5-amino-1- [8-(trifluoromethyl) quinolin-4-yl]-1H-pyrazole-4-carbonitrile (5).
