Abstract
Introduction. The tetrahydrates of manganese chloride and manganese bromide have been the subject of many experimental investigations. The chloride is perhaps one of the most extensively studied antiferromagnetic systems to date. In contrast, virtually no information exists for the chemically analogous iodide.
