Abstract
Interconversion of isomeric 2-phenyl (tolyl) adamantanes into the corresponding 1-phenyl (toly1) adamantanes was observed through intermolecular isomerization involving adamantyl cations and adamantane, which is formed in significant amount in all the reactions.
