Abstract
Glycogen synthase kinase-3 (GSK-3) is a multifunctional serine/threonine protein kinase that was first identified in the late 1970s as a consequence of its phosphorylation activity toward glycogen synthase (GS), the rate limiting enzyme of glycogen biosynthesis 1, 2.
