Abstract

Abstract Eight 3-substituted 2, 1-benzisothiazoles have been prepared from 3-amino-2, 1- benzisothiazole (2; R= NH 2) by diazotization and replacement of the diazonium group. Acylation of 3-amino-2, 1-benzisothiazole in the presence of base yielded N, N?-diacyl derivatives of the 3-imino tautomer.
