Abstract
The reaction of ω-phenyl-1-bromoalkanes with cyclopentadienyl sodium, indenyl lithium or fluorenyl lithium forms ω-phenylalkyl-substituted ligand precursors in high yields. The corresponding anions react with zirconium tetrachloride to give ω-phenylalkyl-substituted zirconocene dichloride complexes.
