Abstract

Abstract 1-(11H-Dibenz [b, f]-1, 4-oxathiepin-11-yl) methyl-4-piperidone (XIII), which was obtained from 11H-dibenz [b, f]-1, 4-oxathiepin-11-carboxylic acid (VIII) in four steps, was treated with isobutylmagnesium bromide and gave the title compound V in addition to the prevailing quantity of the secondary alcohol VI, ie the product of reduction.
