Abstract

2′-Deoxy-3′-thio-5′-O-(4-monomethoxytrityl)-6-N-benzoyladenosine (1a) has been prepared from adenosine in seven steps and, following conversion of to a 3′-S- phosphorothioamidite, used to synthesize a dinucleoside 3′-S-phosphorothiolate containing 2′-deoxy-3′-thioadenosine.
