Abstract
Conclusion Method B will be more widely applicable than method A, which is restricted to aryl halides cathodically reducible at potentials close to those of Se and Te. However the synthesis of ditelluride derivatives requires method A, due to the instability of the Tel-anions. Since we were able to prepare lc-e in useful yields in MeCN, we can anticipate that many diary1 &chalcogenides will be prepared in high yields by the electrochemical technique, ...
