Abstract

Preparation of a number of AT-alkyl-and NN-dialkyl-p-nitrosoanilines is described. Attempted Fischer-Hepp rearrangement of AT-nitroso-Nn-octadecylaniline results in denitrosation. No difficulty was experienced in direct introduction of a p-nitroso-group into
