Abstract

The conformational stability of 2-(methylseleno) ethanol has been studied by vibrational spectroscopy and density functional theory. In an argon matrix, the molecules assume primarily the gauche±-gauche±-gauche∓(GGg') and gauche∓-gauche±-gauche∓(G'Gg')
