Abstract

Addition-cyclization of vinyldiazomethane with various olefins has been investigated. The products consisted of vinylpyrazolines, cyclopropanes and dienes. From methyl acrylate, a small amount of cyclopentenylcarboxylate was also obtained, the formation of which was interpreted as being due to the 1, 5-dipolar structure of vinyldiazomethane.
