Abstract
NO, structure A taken. As noted in Figure 1, this study furnished definitive proof that the compound isolated in reaction 3 possessed structure 1. The molecule 1 has two planar halves which form an angle of 137". Each sulfur atom is in the plane of one benzene ring, tQ which it is slightly more closely bonded, and 0.13 (1) A out of the planes of the rings to which they are attached by 32 (1)".
