Abstract

The synthesis of mixed trialkyl phosphates continues to be an important goal. Such compounds are of current interest in such diverse areas as pesticides, phospholipids, and nucleic acids. There have been several recent reports on new methods of synthesis of mixed alkyl pho~ phates. l-~ We wish to report on a very simple exchange reaction involving readily available starting materials which allows the synthesis of mixed trialkyl phosphates.
