Abstract
'Measured in 1-2% amino acids, such as tryptophan, are hardly esterified in a strongly acidic medium and at high temperature. In 1963, Wilchek et al. e synthesized tryptophan benzyl ester via N-carboxy anhydride with phosgene, followed by treatment of the intermediate with benzyl alcohol.
