Abstract
Sum mary Rate constants for collisional quenching of D2CC (3B2) by Ar, N2, H2, CO, and CH4 have been measured for the first time, using vacuum-ultraviolet photolysis in conjunction with absorption spectroscopy techniques. Under our experimental conditions, no evidence of chemical quenching of vinylidene with these collision partners are observed.
