Abstract
Summary Methoxyamine adds to benzalacetophenone and its p or p'substituted analogs to furnish 0-methoxyaminopropiophenones and/3,/?'-methoxyiminobis-propiophenones. The same reagent adds also to benzoylphenylacetylene. The addition reaction has been shown to be reversible and the structures of the addition products have been established.
