Abstract
The oxidation of enolic olefins was carried out in carbon tetrachloride-water (1: l) in which sodium metaperiodate (NaIO,) was used as a stoichiometric oxidant for the regeneration of RuO, from RuOz present only in a catalytic amount.'A number of cyclic enol ethers and enamines were subjected to the oxidation with RuO, and the results are summarized in Table I.
