Abstract
DPC easily purified by recrystallization from ethyl acetate to give colorless granular crystals. DPC is a stable compound and can be kept at room temperature over a long period. It begins to decompose at 153" C in thermogravimetry in air (5 OC/min) without showing a clear melting point. Before the reaction with amino acids, DPC was subjected to the reaction with benzoic and acetic acids in order to establish the general reactivity of the carbonate. ...
