Abstract
Two series of dehalogenation experiments were run: the one in the vapor phase using soda lime, the other in the liquid phase using potassium hydroxide suspended in mineral oi1. l Attempts to improve the yields obtained previously2 in the vapor phase method were only partially successful, and a series of experiments on the heat stability of heptyne indicated the probable futility of further efforts in this direction.
