Abstract

In the course of an investigation of the action of phenylhydrazine and hydroxylamine on thio derivatives it became necessary to prepare the monothioanilide of acetomalonic ester, CH3COCH (CSNHCBH5) CO0CzHs. No experimental details were found for the preparation of this ester and since few compounds of this type have been made, a short study was made of their synthesis and reactions.
