Abstract
(-CHzCHzS-) n+ CHZ--CHz+ COz+ CZH~ OH phase. This reaction occurs at a rate rapid enough to allow the preparation to be conducted in a continuous reactor (see Experimental section), in which 50 kg. of IIIa could be prepared in 92% yield in an eight-hour day.
