Abstract

The methylchlorodisilanes SiCl2Me SiCl2Me (1), SiCl2Me SiClMe2 (2) and SiClMe2 SiClMe2 (3) disproportionate in the presence of a basic catalyst into methylchloromonosilanes and various methylchlorooligosilanes.
