Abstract

Isopestacin (1), an isobenzofuranone natural product was isolated in 2002 by Strobel and co-workers from culture broths of the endophytic fungus Pestalotiopsis microspora. 1 Its structure was determined by analysis of proton and carbon NMR data, and confirmed by X-ray crystallography.
