Abstract

The long chain fatty acid derivatives of pantothenic acid, ethyl dipalmitoxypantothenate and ethyl monopalmitoxypantothenate, were prepared. The dipalmitoxy compound was obtained as an amorphous fatty powder with a mp of 57.0-58.5', while the monopalmitate was a somewhat waxy substance which had a mp of 36.0".
