Abstract
Second-order rate constants for reactions of families of 9-substituted fluorenide ions, 9-R-F1- , and related carbanions in Me2S0 solution with the electron acceptors PhS02CH2Br, PhS02CH (Ph) Br, PhS02C (Me)(Ph) Br, MezCBr2, MeZC (NO2) X, PhS (0) CH2Cl, Me2C (S02Ph),, and Ph21+ Cl-have been measured.
