Abstract
Cinnamic (3-phenylpropenoic) acid analogues are a fundamental part of plant chemistry. The hydroxylated cinnamic acids possess antifungal, antibacterial, and parasite fighting abilities [1]. In the cinnamic acid molecule, the carboxylic acid group is separated from the aromatic ring by a double bond.
