Abstract Two mol of antimony (V) chloride and one mol of μ-oxo-bis [tri-n-propyl/tri-n-butyl or triphenyl tin (IV)] compound (L) react in carbon tetrachloride and/or dichloromethane at ice water temperature to give solid compounds of composition L· 2SbCl 5.
