Abstract

Type II photoreaction of the title compound gave a cyolobutanol by cyclization, an unsaturated keto alcohol by reverse disproportionation, and a bicyclic diketone by cyclopropylcarbinyl rearrangement. Relative rates of the type II biradical reactions were estimated on the basis of the product analysis.
