Abstract

P-ethoxycrotonate, by means of ethyl oxalate and potassium ethoxide, into a cyclic compound which is evidently derived from the y-oxalyl derivative of the ethoxycrotonate by elimination, at the a-position, of another niolecule of alcohol. In the former of the above
