Abstract
To identify the pyrazolines, Straus (3) suggested that if they have been derived from dibenzalacetone or one of its substitution-products they may be oxidized by potassium permanganate solution to give 1, Miphenylpyrazole-3-carboxylic acid (7) and benzoic acid.
