Abstract
Nitrogen-containing heterocycles are omnipresent in natural products and biologically active compounds. Among them, pyrrolizidine and indolizidine alkaloids have attracted broad interest for their potential pharmacological applications. Furthermore, their polycyclic structures, which frequently incorporate multiple chiral centers, have been the testing ground for new CÀC and CÀN bond-forming methods for several decades.[1]
