Abstract

Abstract The classical Biginelli reaction is considerably extended by use of cycloalkanones instead of 1, 3-dicarbonyl compounds. Use of TMSCl as a Lewis acid allowed one-pot chemoselective multicomponent Biginelli reactions between cycloalkanones, urea or thiourea, and aldehydes.
