Abstract

Abstract The cycloaddition of diphenylnitrilimine with substituted cyclopentadienones leads to the formation of the title spirooxadiazoline derivatives 2, in good yields. The reaction is examined on the basis of the frontier molecular orbitals of the reacting reagents. An X-ray crystallographic analysis of the product 2b is made.
