Abstract
\ Ye have been interested in the synthesis and properties of the 1, 3, 5-hexatrienes, and have reported the parent hydrocarbon, 2a nitro-, 2b phenyl-, 2c vinyl-2d and the methylhexatrienes. 2e This paper is a report on some disubstituted 1, 3, 5-hexatrienes; in particular, the dimethyl-l, 3, 5-hexatrienes I, I1 and 111.
