Abstract
C−H bond activation by transition metal catalysts is one of the current interests in organic synthesis. 1 Particularly, hydroacylation through aldehydic C−H bond activation provides an efficient synthetic method for preparing ketones. 2 In the course of our studies on chelation-assisted hydroacylation, 3 a one-pot protocol to obtain ketones from primary alcohols and olefins was devised using a cocatalyst system of a rhodium complex and 2-aminopyridine. 4 ...
