Abstract
The silaoxetene was first postulated as a reactive intermediate in the reaction of 1, l-dimethyl- 2, 3-bis (trimethylsilyl)-1-silirene with dimethyl sulfoxide.'However, the study of these intriguing silaoxetenes has been hampered by the lack of a convenient reaction.
