Abstract
The simplicity of the present procedure for the conversion of alkynes into a, P-unsaturated derivatives uia vinylalanes is illustrated by the following example. To 0.10 mole of 1-hexyne in 20 ml of n-heptane was added by means of a hypodermic syringe 0.10 mole of diisobutylaluminum hydride, while maintaining the temperature below 40".
