Abstract
Results Alkylation of vinylidenebisdimethylamine (1 a) and 2- methylpropenylidenebisdimethylamine (1 b) with methyl iodide, benzyl bromide or chloride, and allyl bromide in acetonitrile solution gave the amidinium salts 2c-h in good yield. The salts were characterized by elemental analysis and nmr spectroscopy and in the case of 2c and 2e by comparison with authentic samples prepared by independent syntheses. The ...
