Abstract

Abstract Structural transformation of two methoxy derivatives of benzo [de] benzo [4, 5] imidazo [2, 1-a]-isoquinolin-7-one were determined via spectroscopic analysis. The transformation mechanism was proposed as the breakage and reformation of the lactam bond.
