Abstract

The sulfonic acids (V),(IX),(X),(XIV), and (XV) were obtained by sulfonating the appropriate substituted fluorenes with 65% oleum. The structures of the resulting 2-or 7-sulfonic acids and their potassium salts were confirmed by their elemental analyses and IR spectra. The
