Abstract

When the reaction takes place under irreversible conditions, k,(ArX)>> kf= kp, the product observed is the expected substitution one, ArZPh (Z= Se, Te), while three compounds, ArZPh, Ar2Z, and Ph, Z, are obtained when the reversible conditions prevail. In this case, kf= kp= kt (ArX)(es 1).
